Cooking Class Terms & Conditions

  1. Dietary Needs: We cater to food intolerances. Please let us know in advance if you cannot have a particular dish, and we will arrange suitable alternatives.

  2. Menu Customisation: For group bookings, we can adjust the menu based on your requirements.

  3. Class Format: Please note that this is not a fully hands-on class. Ingredients (such as chopped vegetables) will be pre-prepared to minimise handling of shared items.

  4. Suitability: Our courses are suitable for participants who are gluten intolerant, vegan, or vegetarian.

  5. Cancellation: As a small business, we cannot accommodate cancellations, no-shows, or last-minute rescheduling. However, if you notify us at least 7 days prior to the class, we can reschedule your booking or offer alternative dates.

  6. Rescheduling by Us: In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we may need to reschedule the class. If this occurs, you will be notified in advance and offered alternative dates.Tour Terms & Conditions

Payment & Booking

  • Your booking is confirmed upon payment of a non-refundable deposit.

  • By booking, you acknowledge that you have read the relevant itinerary and understand the nature of the trip.

Cancellation by You

If you cancel your booking, the following terms apply:

  • 90–120 days before departure: Deposit is retained.

  • 60+ days before departure: 50% of booking cost is forfeited.

  • 21–59 days before departure: 75% of booking cost is forfeited.

  • Less than 21 days before departure: No refund.

  • Transfers: Up to 30 days before departure, you may transfer your booking to a family member, friend, or relative with written consent.

You are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance at the time of booking.

Cancellation by Us

  • Tours are guaranteed with a minimum of 5 fully paid participants (unless otherwise stated).

  • If we cancel, you may transfer to another departure date or receive a full refund, unless cancellation is due to a Force Majeure Event (see below).

Force Majeure

If cancellation occurs due to events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest):

  • Before departure: you may receive a credit or a refund minus unrecoverable costs.

  • After departure: you may receive a credit or refund minus unrecoverable costs for unused days.

Amendments

  • Booking transfers to a third party or another tour may be possible, subject to conditions and fees.

  • No amendments are permitted within 60 days of departure.

Inclusions

Your land package includes:

  • Accommodation, meals (as per itinerary), in-country transport, sightseeing, and group leader services.

  • Airport transfers.

Exclusions

Not included:

  • International or internal flights (unless specified).

  • Visas, passports, vaccinations, travel insurance.

  • Alcohol, personal expenses, optional activities, and room service.

Travel Documents & Health

  • You must hold a valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity.

  • Visas and health certificates are your responsibility.

  • Tours require moderate fitness and stamina; please disclose any health concerns prior to booking.

Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory. It must cover medical emergencies, cancellations, and lost baggage.

Liability & Responsibility

  • The Modern Desi Co Pty Ltd acts as a tour organiser and cannot be held liable for third-party service providers.

  • We are not responsible for delays, accidents, or events beyond our control.

  • Participation is at your own risk, and you release The Modern Desi Co Pty Ltd from liability except in cases of gross negligence.

Children

  • Tours are not suitable for participants under 18 years old.

Final Note

By booking a tour with us, you acknowledge the risks inherent in travel and agree to our terms.
