Working at Masala Kitchen is more than a weekend job for me.

From the moment the first spices hit the pan to the last warm naan coming out of the tandoor at night, I’m constantly reminded how special it is to cook food that connects people.
Whether it’s sharing stories with our regulars, introducing newcomers to their first Thukpa, or watching a table bond over a plate of Sarson ka Saag, this space feels like home. And one of my favourite parts? The snacks.
Yes, I said it—bar snacks are a BIG deal in Indian (and Nepalese) restaurants. They’re the unsung heroes of the menu. Spicy, crunchy, perfectly paired with a drink or just to nibble while you decide what to order next.

'Masala Chatpatte Peanuts' are one of the most loved snacks at our bar is this fiery, tangy, crunchy dish that brings street food vibes straight to your table. Also known as Wai Wai Sadeko, this Nepalese-style snack is quick to make and even quicker to disappear.
Enjoy them with a chilled glass of beer and I promise you will be wanting more.
