You learn all about the basics of vegan Indian cooking using seasonal vegetables and gain knowledge on how to prepare lentils and vegetable dishes that will become a staple in your kitchen. Not only will this cooking class give you the confidence to get familiar with the spices and lentils that you can use in everyday cooking but will also give you practical tips on how to incorporate a wholesome Indian way of cooking and include it into your everyday meal. During the class, we will cover: - A history of the origin of the dishes we will cook during the class. - Learn about “Spices 1,2,3” - a valuable rundown on spices you need to cook a hearty Indian meal with and where to source them. - Practice recreating the recipes on the menu and master the cooking techniques needed to enhance your knowledge and build confidence using different spice blends. - Tips and tricks to cut down on cooking time needed after those long working hours. On the Menu: - Dal Fry in Instant pot. - a delicious vegetable dish (Aloo gobi - one of our most popular dishes) - a Basic Indian Sauce (a flavorful and versatile base for many Indian curries and lentils) - Chickpeas or Jackfruit curry. - Lemon Rice. - Mushroom Korma. - Stuffed flatbread. Please note: If you want to conduct a group booking for six or more, we can cater the menu as per your requirement. We also cater to food intolerance and alleges, please let us know if you are so we can organize something else for you. This course is suitable for people who are gluten intolerant, and who are vegan and/or vegetarian. In unforeseen circumstances should we have to reschedule the class, we will notify you in advance and provide you with new dates to choose from.
